An octopus tentacle protruding from a cave is an indestructible hazard that can be very dangerous. The octopus itself is never seen; a single tentacle is all that is visible. An octopus will grab and destroy Nick's submarine when it comes close, regardless of how much shield the player has. The tentacles cannot be destroyed; they can only temporarily be damaged, allowing the player to move past. Octopuses will not grab the JASON submersible.
